Filling out your application is the first and most important step.

Submit documents

Now that you have submitted your application, there are a few more things that we need from you to complete your admission to UVU.

High School Transcripts

To be considered official, high school transcripts need to be submitted in one of the following ways:

  • Emailed directly from the high school to admissions@uvu.edu
  • Mailed directly from the high school to:
    UVU Office of Admissions, MS 106 
    800 W. University Parkway
    Orem, UT 84058-6703
  • Emailed using a secure transcript exchange company (e.g. Parchment) to admissions@uvu.edu

College Transcripts

College transcripts will be considered official if they have been issued within the last six months and are submitted in one of the following ways:

  • Emailed directly from the college/university to etranscriptr@uvu.edu using a secure transcript exchange company or certified PDF document.
  • Mailed directly from the college/university in a sealed envelope to:
    UVU Office of Admissions, MS 106 
    800 W. University Parkway
    Orem, UT 84058-6703

Test Scores

Math and English placement may be required prior to math or English course registration but are not required for admission to UVU. Placement scores can be submitted in the following ways:

  • Official ACT/SAT scores (usually submitted on high school transcripts)
  • Accuplacer scores (Accuplacer can be taken at any location the test is offered, including UVU Testing Services)
  • Transferable college-level math or English credit
  • English Placement Tool (after being admitted)
  • ALEKS math placement (after being admitted)

Placement testing may be required for students with expired test scores.

ACT/SAT scores will be required for scholarship purposes.

In some cases students will need to submit additional documents. Some of those might include:

  • Affidavit of Completion of Homeschool
  • HB 144 Non-Resident Tuition Exemption Request
  • International Affidavit of Support Form
  • Residency Documents

Orientation is mandatory for all new students and will introduce you to the tools and resources you need to successfully navigate UVU's campus environment so that you can achieve your academic goals.


Meet Advisor

New and prospective students must meet with a counselor or advisor as one of the first steps in the process of beginning their education at UVU. Advisors can assist you from the beginning to the end of your educational process.

Now that you have been admitted to UVU, attended orientation, and met with your academic advisor you can then log into myUVU and register for classes. You should become familiar with and utilize myUVU on a regular basis. If you need help learning how to register for classes, you can access registration instructions.

To be considered for the most scholarship opportunities, complete the scholarship application. With some scholarships, you may be required to provide an essay or present additional information.
